The Pacific Division now negotiates contracts with hotels that includes a clause requiring the hotel to confirm a year before our meeting that a collective agreement will be in place with the labor unions at the time of our meeting. The current collective agreement between the conference hotel and Unite Here Local 2 extends beyond our spring 2013 meeting date and the union asks us to patronize the hotel.
